IAS GmbH has received an order for induction heating furnaces for steel billets by a leading Indian supplier of seamless tubes. The system consists of two stations for intermediate heating of Ø 368 mm billets prior to expansion and two stations for final heating of Ø 383 mm billets before extrusion.
Billets are heated up to 1250 °C at a production rate around 9 tons/hour. The equipment is engineered and manufactured at our headquarters in Iserlohn, featuring a multilayer coil design for highest efficiency and a multizone concept for highest heating precision.
